From
1969-1972, David Frost pulled double-duty as a talk show host. Group W's
Emmy award-winning The David Frost Show aired on syndicated stations
here in the United States while the host also flew back to England on
a weekly basis to appear on London Weekend Television. The Charlie
Rose of his day, Frost held court with celebrities and newsmakers, from
Ali to Zefferelli, and the program was a haven for in-depth, intelligent
conversation. He was knighted on December 31, 1992, becoming Sir David
Frost. He has appeared on television almost continuously in one format
or another since the early 1960s, and most recently hosting Breakfast
With Frost for the BBC.
